A legal disclaimer

This Shipping Policy is a legally binding document that establishes the legal relations between Cuttingo Engraving LLC and its customers. It outlines our obligations regarding the delivery of your orders and addresses various scenarios that may occur during the shipping process.

Shipping Policy - the basics

1. Order Processing & Production Time

Because our products are custom-made to your specifications, production time is separate from shipping transit time.

  • Standard Production: 5–7 business days after payment (full or 50% deposit), $15 setup fee, and proof approval.

  • Expedited Production: 1–3 business days (subject to availability and rush fees).

Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Production begins only after all requirements (payment, fees, and approvals) are met.

2. Shipping Carriers & Methods

We ship both domestically and internationally using the following carriers:

  • UPS

  • USPS

  • FedEx

You may select your preferred carrier and shipping speed at checkout. We reserve the right to adjust the carrier if necessary to ensure the safest and most efficient delivery of your custom items.

3. Local Pickup & Local Drop-Off

For customers in or near South Elgin, IL, we offer the following local options:

  • Local Pickup: You may pick up your order at our South Elgin location by appointment once you receive notification that your order is ready.

  • Local Drop-Off: We offer local delivery/drop-off services. Availability and fees for drop-off are determined based on the mileage from our location. Please contact us to confirm if your address is eligible for local drop-off.

4. Shipping Rates & Insurance

  • Shipping rates are calculated based on the weight, dimensions, and destination of the package.

  • Insurance: We automatically include shipping insurance on our packages to protect your investment against loss or damage during transit.

  • Signature Confirmation: For high-value orders or upon request, we may require a signature for delivery to ensure the package reaches you safely.

5. International Shipping

We ship internationally. Please note that international orders may be subject to import duties, taxes (VAT), and customs clearance fees imposed by the destination country. These charges are the sole responsibility of the customer. Cuttingo Engraving LLC is not responsible for delays caused by customs processing.

6. Address Accuracy & Re-Delivery

Customers are responsible for providing a correct and complete shipping address. If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect address or failed delivery attempts, the customer will be responsible for the additional shipping costs to resend the package.

7. Damaged or Lost Shipments

  • Damaged Items: If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the damage and the packaging. Since we insure our shipments, we will work with the carrier to resolve the claim and provide a replacement or repair as appropriate.

  • Lost Packages: If tracking shows your package is lost or has not moved for an extended period, please contact us so we can initiate a trace with the carrier.

8. Tracking Your Order

Once your order has been processed and shipped, you will receive an email notification with a tracking number. Please allow 24 hours for the tracking information to update on the carrier's website.
